By using padkos.site you agree to these terms. They're written in plain language; please read them, especially the part about checking your plan before you go.

What Padkos is

Padkos writes road-trip holiday plans for travellers in South Africa. Plans are written by artificial intelligence (AI), checked against Google where possible, and given to you free during the beta. The beta can change, pause or stop at any time.

Your plan is a guide, not a guarantee

AI can be wrong. Places may have closed, moved or changed their hours and prices, and a place marked "not found on Google" may not exist.
Drive times, distances, fuel, tolls and budgets are estimates.
Always confirm opening times, prices, bookings, road and weather conditions, and sea safety yourself before you go. Swim only where it's safe and lifeguards are on duty, and follow fishing rules and permit requirements.
You decide what to do on your trip and are responsible for your own safety and choices.

Fair use

During the beta each phone gets a limited number of free plans. Please don't try to get around the limits. You may not:

use bots, scripts or other automated tools to make plans or to collect content from the site;
copy, scrape, resell or republish the site, its plans or its content as part of another product or service;
copy the site's design, wording or features to build a competing service, or try to reverse-engineer how plans are made;
interfere with the site, overload it or try to reach parts of it that aren't meant for the public;
put anything unlawful, abusive or other people's private information in the trip form.

We may block access that breaks these rules.

What you may do with your plan

Your plan is for your own trip. You're welcome to save it, print it and share it with the people travelling with you or with friends, for example on WhatsApp. You may not sell it or use it commercially.

Who owns what

The Padkos name and logo, the website, its design, wording, code and the way plans are put together belong to the owner of Padkos and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property law. Using the site doesn't give you any rights to them beyond what these terms allow. Maps, photos and place information you open through links belong to Google and other third parties and are covered by their own terms.

Other websites

Plans link to Google Maps, Google image search and other sites. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for what they show or do.

Liability

Padkos is free during the beta and is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, the owner of Padkos is not liable for any loss, damage, cost or injury that comes from using the site or relying on a plan, including wrong or out-of-date information. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act or other law that can't be limited.

Privacy

How we handle information is explained in our privacy notice.

Changes

We may update these terms as Padkos grows. The date at the top shows when they last changed. Using the site after a change means you accept the new terms.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of South Africa.
